Counselling

Counselling can be effective for individuals, couples, and families who want to think, feel, or experience something different in their lives.

Counselling is an active process of awareness and change engaged in by both you and your psychologist. Change can be exciting and at times it can also be scary and overwhelming. Having a strong working relationship with your psychologist is important so that you can move through the counselling process feeling safe, respected, and connected to the work you are doing.

It takes courage to face challenging personal life circumstances. Counselling can help provide you with coping strategies and new ways of working through the difficult circumstances you experience. There is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to counselling and the strategies and techniques can be as diverse as the people they are designed to support. Through a collaborative process, your psychologist will work with you to determine an appropriate counselling approach.
